About Union Springs
Union Springs
is the county seat of Bullock County. Located in southeast Alabama,
Union Springs is a small historic town less than an hour's drive
from several destination cities, including Montgomery, Auburn, Troy,
and Eufaula. We are known worldwide as the Field
Trial Capitol of the World, and each February people come from near
and far to participate in the world's largest amateur Bird Dog
Field Trials.
The central Alabama climate is excellent for year
'round outdoor recreation. Bullock County has some of the best
hunting and
fishing in the South. Deer, fox, quail, dove, and turkey are
harvested in our very active
hunting community, and fishing
nearby lakes has produced record catches of bass, bream and catfish!
Small Town Pleasures
Visitors also come to
Union Springs for our annual festivals, including the
Chunnenuggee Fair (April) and
Veterans Day (November), and to tour the historic town.
